Today the children of PreK4 finally got to taste the delicious applesauce. They had it warm over ice cream...yum yum!!  Throughout the day today the students participated in, and learned, many new Math Centers.  Some students sorted, some patterned, and some created artwork from various shapes.

At the various ELA Centers some students learned sight word poems while others colored an "All About Apples Booklet".   Other centers included completing their Farm Mobiles and a booklet titled "Nobody Is Like Me!"

We then looked for the seeds to plant, and counted how many we found.  Our class found over 160 seeds!!!

We added sugar and cinnamon and we all had a chance to stir it up!

The children brought in all types of apples which we used to make delicious apple sauce.  First we peeled, cored, and sliced the apples.

Johnny loved doing shared reading time with us, and he also admired our apple artwork!

Johnny then helped us put some apple seeds so that we could try to grow our own apple trees.  He then gave each of us an apple and was on his way.  Thank you, Johnny Appleseed, for an awesome and fun filled day of learning,

Today was Johnny Appleseed's Birthday and he paid us a visit!

We have learned about how apples grow, and we even had a taste test and selected the color apple that we liked.  We graphed our results.
Hello All!  We have been so busy learning about farms and apples.  The class read Apple Pigs, a work of Fiction by Ruth Orbach.

The children later did a Critic's review of the book and drew their favorite parts.
